Spring Break, On the Beach
Kicking off the season once again on the beach of Huntington Beach, California – during Spring Break – the NPPL Surf City Open will be along the south side of the famous HB Pier with 100,000 spring breakers hanging out on the beach, watching you play paintball on April 9 – 11, 2010. This event has been voted year after year as the most popular paintball event in the world. Tens of thousands of spectators fill the busy tradeshow and cheer from the packed stands as they watch their favorite teams from around the world compete on the greatest stage in Paintball history. The NPPL Super 7 World Series will be returning to Chicago, Illinois Memorial Day Weekend! What’s even better is that this event will be held in conjunction with one of the greatest Scenario Big Games in Paintball – Living Legends at CPX Sports. To run fluidly along with the Living Legends event, and to make the most of the holiday weekend, the NPPL Super 7 event will take place on Saturday and Sunday with all final games being played on Monday, Memorial Day. This is a change from the traditional Friday through Sunday format, but we know that students will appreciate not having to miss School to compete in this event! This isn't an easy email to write. After 5 years with PSP, I have decided to move on and pursue other interests.

I wanted to write and say what a great opportunity it has been working in this industry and with people like you. I'm grateful for all the experiences I've had and friends I have made along the way. I have truly enjoyed all my time with PSP.

2009 World Cup Webcast On Demand but Not Really

PSP has started releasing the 2009 World Cup webcast footage. To my recollection, it used to be free but now it’s not (which is lame). In order to watch a match, you have to pay $2.99 and download the video via itunes (i assume it’s through itunes, it says something at the bottom of the page about going through itunes to get the video). So it’s not really an on demand type of thing, more of a pay per view but i assume you get to keep the video after you have paid and downloaded it.

There are 60sec previews but it’s not even worth it watch those. I only watched the previews for dynasty vs damage and x-factor vs red legion and you see little to no game footage, just Matty Marshall talking. I understand that it’s a preview but a little game footage would be nice.

X-Factor Tryouts

this has been floating around on nation for a while but for those that haven’t heard, pro team X-Factor is having open tryouts.

When:
X-Factor will be having OPEN tryouts Dec. 12th and 13th. Registration will be between 8-9am, playing by 10am on both days.

Depending on the number that show, we may be making cuts on Saturday. We will be starting an event on facebook so we know how many of you will be attending. If you don’t have facebook, just reply here or send me a pm so we know you’re coming.

What we are looking for:
We’re looking for 2-3 Texas based guys to round out our pro X-ball squad and commit to a full year of paintball. A semi-pro team will also be formed and act as a farm system. If you don’t think you’re PRO material yet, the semi-pro team will be a good start. Details on sponsorship and any other questions will be answered at the tryout.

Premium will be sold at $50 a case, with free entry.

If you’re already planning on coming out, please let me know so we can already start evaluating you if you come out any weekends before. Like I said earlier, I’m out there every Sunday so just find me and let me know you’re interested.
